US Inflation Calculator

Calculate how inflation affects the value of money using CPI data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

About

Uses CPI-U annual averages from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (base period 1982–84 = 100), 1913–2026. The 2025 average excludes October 2025, which BLS did not publish because of the federal funding lapse.

Formula: Adjusted = Original × (CPIend ÷ CPIstart)
